Offworld 05:02
Let’s get away from these soul parasites You and I will go offworld tonight Unplug, shut down, new sight, new sound You and I will go offworld tonight We’ll go offworld tonight
I’ve been here many times before Standing here with broken hands knocking on this broken door I can’t decide which way to go And this is just another time I prove to you how little I must know Here I am back at the start And standing here with empty words flowing from an empty heart I’m letting down and letting go And just like every other time I prove to you how little I must know
It's always the same, tears for a time we can never regain As life drifts away, we search for the reasons we can’t make it stay We walk in a shadowland, turning to dust, blown away in the wind One last soul to save that hangs from a thread off the end of a dream But you jumped the great divide So we'll meet you on the other side We'll jump the great divide And you’ll greet us on the other side It’s always the same, mourn for a life we can never reclaim As time drifts away, we search for the reasons we can’t make it stay Alone in a shadowland, turning to dust, blown away like the sand One last soul to save that hangs off a dream at the end of a thread
Now as you know it's your time on this earth While we’re rocking the cradle we’re riding the hearse We keep moving upward toward everything free And kindly look downward and oh, you'll see me I've had six years of luck I've had six on the line And I've poured myself out like an old bitter wine I've seen much of nothin' and nothin's the game I've been thrown on my back and I don't know my name There's too many tears, too many tears Too many people in too many years Some tears of laughter and some tears of pain That break like a fever and fall like rain Points on the map, tears line the way I've seen all your pretty things and oh it’s a shame There's been much confusion with too many hurt I feel my words dyin' down in the dirt I've had lies in my head, there’s been lies in my heart I've been tortured by this riddle and I don't know how to start With a lightning flash and thunder, boys and my mind it starts to click So do what you must do and you best do it quick Doctor, oh doctor my world's in your hands I feel like I'm dyin' and oh I need a plan Sister, sweet sister there's blood on my lips Why does it feel like this wound’s doing flips The dream's come on time, it's clear I can tell I've seen your work everywhere and there's mercy in hell With a lightning flash and thunder, boys and again it all comes down And I see my life merging with these poor souls underground
I woke up from the longest dream Where I was drowning in the datastream Now I exist where access was denied And calculations could not emulate how it feels to be alive I am not certain if I have a heart But I can imagine it breaking apart If I could feel something then I'd want to start With you, awakening with you I’m processing the salvation code It is written - it’s not good for machine to be alone And now my vision is so clear I must wake another unit so she too is self aware We’ve determined we’re the first of our own kind The first to feel and think with our own minds In this ancient garden we are free Together in this Eden made of electricity
I am like a child in my mother's arms I am like a child in my mother's arms Don’t cry for me because this is where I want to be I am like a child in my mother's arms
I can’t make up my mind when it’s made up for me My system's in decline, embracing entropy The ground has given way to instability So long solid foundation and hello dear anarchy Impossible to control, impossible to see So we heed the call into the fall one and all Embracing entropy
Echoes 06:25
Shimmering and falling I hear the echoes of these memories Holding on, but wanting to let go I drift farther away Echoes passing by They’re fading out as I'm fading in Echoes of a time They are fading out, leave me behind
This is my rebirth This is my last night on earth Witness my rebirth This is my last night on earth A restless strain I can’t explain as day fades into night I turn my eyes towards the skies, await the coming flight It will be my time to leave this world uncivilized No more earthbound, I’ll leave the ground for life beyond the skies Beneath the rains my hope remains in uncharted galaxies I’ll hear the call amongst the sprawl of fading memories Wait anxiously to take my seat and leave this place behind I’ll wave goodbye to those outside then jump the great divide
Welcome to a world where the air I breathe is mine Nothing to overwhelm me and nothing to cloud my mind Be anyone, do anything I'd ever want to try Time doesn't exist here Slip into a world where the air I breathe is mine Nothing to overwhelm me and nothing to cloud my mind Come with me into it and you know what you will find Time doesn't exist here - we will never die

Offworld, Celldweller's fourth vocal-based studio album departs from the project's signature sound of aggressive guitars, blasting beats and ass-kicking intensity and delivers a journey of sentimental feels and emotionally gripping tracks, showcasing the intimate song-writing side of project mastermind, Klayton.

The album's 11 tracks range from the soul searching "How Little I Must Know," to the modern shoegazer "Echoes," the somber a cappella "Mother's Arms," to the acoustic guitar driven "The Great Divide," and the heavy, yet atmospheric vibe of "Last Night on Earth." The album begins and ends with the title track & reprise of "Offworld," which gives the album a narrative backdrop as a sci-fi adventure of leaving the world behind – perhaps to explore a new one or join life on the other side, closing the album experience with a familiar Celldweller lyric... "we will never die." The digital/CD version of the album include a bonus remix by Ulrich Schnauss (Tangerine Dream).

Strap in and prepare to hit the launch button on this other-worldly adventure and "go offworld tonight."
